Description

A compact rechargeable light for camping, fishing, garage repairs and everyday DIY. Combine a broad floodlight with a focused white beam for up to 1500 lm and a maximum reach of 130 m, or select red and green light for close-range tasks.

Why choose this model

  • Six modes: white spot, flood, flood + spot, red, flashing red and green.
  • Smooth brightness adjustment in every mode; adjustable 2700–6500 K colour temperature in flood mode only.
  • Floodlight colour rendering Ra >95 for seeing colours accurately during detailed work.
  • 360° rotating handle with magnets, plus a tripod mounting point for hands-free positioning.
  • USB-A and USB-C power-bank outputs: 5 V / 2.4 A for compatible devices.
  • IP66 dust and water-jet protection and rated 2 m drop resistance. Do not submerge.

Power and safe use

Two replaceable VIDEX 18650 Li-ion batteries (2200 mAh each) are included. Charge through USB-C in approximately 2.5 hours; the five-level indicator shows remaining charge. Turn the light off before charging and close the port cover afterwards. Do not use the light while charging.

In the box

Lantern with two batteries installed, USB charging cable, spare silicone gaskets and warranty card.

Lighting modes and runtime

  • Spot: 15–700 lm; 110 m; 5 h 30 min–120 h
  • Flood + spot: 40–1500 lm; 130 m; 3–37 h
  • Flood: 25–1000 lm; 60 m; 3 h 30 min–72 h
  • Red: 5–100 lm; 15 m; 9–150 h
  • Flashing red: 5–100 lm; 15 m; 12 h 30 min–210 h
  • Green: 5–100 lm; 20 m; 17–280 h

Manufacturer laboratory runtime ranges depend on brightness. High-output runtimes include reduced output from overheating protection; they do not mean constant maximum brightness. Actual results depend on batteries and conditions.

FAQ

How bright is the VLF-M048?

Up to 1500 lm and 130 m in combined flood + spot mode. Brightness is adjustable. Maximum-output runtime includes periods of reduced output from overheating protection.

Are batteries included and replaceable?

Yes. Two VIDEX 18650 Li-ion batteries, 2200 mAh each, are installed. They can be replaced by opening the screwed battery cover and following the polarity diagram in the manual.

Which colours and lighting modes are available?

White spot, flood, combined flood + spot, red, flashing red and green. Smooth dimming works in all modes. The 2700–6500 K colour adjustment works only in flood mode.

Can it charge a phone or another device?

Yes. USB-A and USB-C outputs provide 5 V / 2.4 A for compatible devices. This uses the lantern's battery charge, reducing the energy available for lighting.

How do I charge the lantern?

Use the included USB-C cable. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours; the five-level indicator shows progress. Switch the lantern off before charging, do not use it while charging, and close the protective cover afterwards.

Is it suitable for outdoor and hands-free use?

IP66 protects against dust and powerful water jets, but not immersion. VIDEX rates it for 2 m drops. The rotating magnetic handle and tripod mount allow hands-free positioning; keep the port cover closed.
